1. General
Welcome to Allegory Inn. By booking a stay or using our website (www.allegoryinnnh.com), you agree to the following Terms & Conditions. These terms are designed to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for all guests at our small, owner-operated inn.

2. Reservations & Payments

• A valid credit card is required to secure all reservations.
• Full or partial payment may be charged at the time of booking, depending on the rate selected.
• Single-night stays may be priced higher than multi-night stays.
• By booking, you authorize Allegory Inn to charge applicable fees in accordance with these terms.

3. Cancellation Policy
All cancellations must be submitted in writing via email to: christine@allegoryinnnh.com

• 31+ days prior to arrival: Full refund
• 15–30 days prior to arrival: 50% refund
• 0–14 days prior to arrival: No refunds

A $20 processing fee applies to all cancellations.

Due to our limited number of rooms, cancellations—especially close to arrival—directly impact our ability to rebook the room.

4. Weather Policy
The White Mountains are known for rapidly changing weather conditions.

• We do not offer refunds or reservation changes due to weather, road conditions, or changes in travel plans.

We encourage guests to enjoy the cozy shared spaces and amenities during inclement weather.

5. Check-In / Check-Out

• Check-in: 3:00 PM
• Check-out: 11:00 AM

Early check-in or late check-out may be available upon request but is not guaranteed.

6. Occupancy & Registered Guests Only

• Only registered guests are permitted on the property.
• Room occupancy limits must be respected.

7. Quiet Hours & Respect for Property
As a small, owner-occupied inn:

• Quiet hours are 10:00 PM – 7:00 AM
• Guests are expected to be respectful of others and shared spaces

Disruptive behavior may result in termination of the stay without refund.

8. No Pets Policy

• Pets are not permitted at Allegory Inn.

9. Smoking Policy
Allegory Inn is a non-smoking property.
Smoking of any kind is not permitted indoors. A cleaning fee will be charged for violations.

10. Damages & Additional Charges
Guests are responsible for any damage to rooms, furnishings, or property.
Additional charges may apply for:

• Excessive cleaning
• Damage or missing items
• Policy violations

11. Amenities Disclaimer
We strive to provide all advertised amenities; however, availability may vary due to maintenance, weather, or unforeseen circumstances.
No refunds will be issued for temporary unavailability.

12. Assumption of Risk & Liability (Important)
Allegory Inn is located in a natural, rural setting with inherent risks.

By staying with us, guests acknowledge and accept responsibility for their safety while on the property, including but not limited to:

• Use of outdoor areas, walking paths, and trails
• Uneven terrain, natural surfaces, and changing weather conditions
• Snow, ice, mud, and other seasonal hazards
• Wildlife encounters
• Access to nearby water features

Use of the on-site trail and surrounding outdoor areas is at your own risk.

Allegory Inn and its owners shall not be held liable for:

• Personal injury
• Loss or damage to personal property
• Accidents occurring on the property

To the fullest extent permitted by law, guests agree to release and hold harmless Allegory Inn, its owners, and operators from any claims arising from their stay.

13. Winter Conditions & Snowmobile Use

Winter conditions in the White Mountains can be unpredictable and may include snow, ice, freezing temperatures, and rapidly changing weather.

By booking a stay during winter months, guests acknowledge and accept the following:

• Walkways, parking areas, and outdoor spaces may be snow-covered, icy, or slippery despite reasonable efforts to maintain them
• Guests are responsible for wearing appropriate footwear and exercising caution at all times
• Travel conditions, including road closures or delays, are outside of our control

Snowmobile Trail Access:
Allegory Inn offers access to nearby snowmobile trails; however:

• Trail conditions, grooming status, and accessibility are not guaranteed
• Snow conditions may vary and depend on weather and local trail organizations
• Guests are responsible for verifying trail conditions prior to arrival

Use of snowmobile trails and equipment is entirely at your own risk.

Allegory Inn assumes no responsibility or liability for:

• Injuries related to snow, ice, or winter conditions
• Snowmobile use or trail access
• Changes in weather or trail availability impacting travel plans

No refunds or reservation changes will be made due to lack of snow, poor trail conditions, or weather-related limitations.

14. Third-Party Bookings
Reservations made through third-party platforms (such as Airbnb or Booking.com) are subject to their respective policies. In the event of a conflict, platform policies may take precedence.

15. Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to update these Terms & Conditions at any time. Updates will be posted on this page.
